I just discovered that iMovie ‘09 – part of Apple’s iLife ‘09, can now move the Project files to external drives. Before, it could move Event files but would keep the Project files local.

Not sure if ‘08 did it too and it just wasn’t obvious to me, but I like that I can now keep both the Project files and Event files on the same drives.

I’ve been using Firefox pretty much since the beginning, I even remember using Netscape on Linux before Firefox was made public.

I used Safari when it first came out for Mac – but missing my Firefox extensions I switched back. Then found OmniWeb – commercial but someone bought me a license. But it has too many bugs/incompatibilities so back to Firefox I went.

Then I found PimpMySafari.com and that helped fill the gap that I was missing from Firefox for a while. But I was still “home sick”, so I finally downloaded Firefox 2 and installed all the extensions that made surviving on the web a little more tolerable. 3.) Apple refuses to allow the user to manually turn off the screen without putting the iMac to sleep.
4.) It seems that a USB device is causing my iMac to do a kernel panic when it goes to sleep, having to reboot it.
5.) Pain triggers migranes and I must turn all light sources off.

So I needed to find a solution that would allow me to turn off the iMac’s screen ASAP without fumbling with a keyboard/mouse.
